Strategic Plan (District Improvement Plan)

The Bedford Public Schools 2024-2027 BPS Strategic Plan 2025-2026 (Year 2) serves as the district’s three‐year improvement plan that each Massachusetts district is required to develop under state law. The plan was developed after an extensive stakeholder engagement process, building on the framework outlined in Bedford Public Schools Superintendent Chuang Report of Entry Plan Findings - March 2024 (bedfordps.org) and originally approved by the School Committee in October 2024. The plan includes strategic objectives and the corresponding strategic initiatives to achieve those objectives, along with outcome measures to assess progress. The plan also includes a statement of vision, mission, core values, and beliefs that serve as guiding principles for our decisions, behaviors, and actions. The plan is updated with an annual action plan that identifies the specific activities, persons responsible, resources, and timelines for action to be taken to execute the identified strategic initiatives. The Action Plan for the 2025-2026 school year was approved by the School Committeeon September 9, 2025. School improvement plans consistent with the goals articulated in the district improvement plan will be developed annually in collaboration with each school council.
