Superintendent Cliff Chuang 莊 宏 毅

Cliff Chuang started his tenure as Superintendent for the Bedford Public Schools on July 1, 2023. Prior to becoming Bedford's superintendent, Cliff served as Senior Associate Commissioner at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education where he created and led the Center for Educational Options, which expands, enhances, and ensures equitable access to high quality educational options for learners of all ages, especially those who have been historically underserved. He was responsible for leading the agency's work supporting and overseeing the wide range of educational options available to Massachusetts families, including charter, virtual, and other redesigned school models; career technical education; adult basic education; early learning; and out-of-school time programs. Cliff was also a key leader in the Department's racial equity efforts and policy-research partnerships. 
Cliff serves as adjunct faculty at the Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development and on the board of the Center for Learner Equity. Cliff started his career teaching secondary mathematics and science in Boston, in both district and charter school settings. He holds a A.B. in mathematics from Harvard University, and a M.Ed. in Secondary Mathematics Teaching from Boston College.

Marianne Vines serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services for Bedford Public Schools. In this role, she oversees Special Education, English Learner Education, Counseling and Mental Health Services, Nursing, Homeschool Education, and student support systems across the district. She also serves as the Section 504 Coordinator, Title IX Coordinator, and McKinney-Vento Liaison. Marianne brings over 17 years of educational leadership experience and has been a part of the Bedford Public Schools community since 2012. Before becoming Assistant Superintendent, she served as the district’s Director of Special Education and as a Special Education Program Administrator at Bedford High School. Prior to her work in Bedford, she held the position of Assistant Director of Student Services in Milford, New Hampshire. She began her career teaching in Early Childhood Education and later taught as a Special Educator at both the elementary and middle school levels. Marianne is recognized for her collaborative leadership, her profound commitment to equity and inclusion, and her ability to establish robust systems that cater to the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of all students. She believes every student deserves the opportunity to thrive and is passionate about working with educators, families, and community partners to ensure access and support for all learners. Marianne holds an Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning from Rivier University, as well as an M.Ed. in Learning Disabilities and a B.A. in Elementary Education and Special Education from Rivier University.

Kelly Williamson serves as Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for Bedford Public Schools, overseeing instructional leadership, practice, and curriculum across the district.  Prior to her appointment in Bedford, she served in roles including Assistant Superintendent, Director of Elementary Education, and Principal. With a strong commitment to enhancing educational excellence over her 24 years in the field, she has a proven track record in developing and implementing district-wide programs that promote the success of administrators, teachers, and students alike. Her innovative use of software to track and analyze data has been presented at regional and national conferences, showcasing her expertise in educational data systems.  Kelly effectively establishes high standards for excellence, emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement through data-driven development strategies. Kelly holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership/Online Instruction from Lesley University, and a B.A. in Elementary Education from Fitchburg State University. Her certifications from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education include Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher.
