Healthy School Hours Working Group

The Bedford Public Schools Healthy School Hours Working Group has been established to explore whether adjusting school start times could better support student health, well-being, and academic success in alignment with the Healthy School Hours Resolution approved at the June 11, 2025 School Committee meeting. Building on the discussions and research completed in the 2024–2025 school year, this collaborative team of district leaders, educators, families, and expert consultants will review current research, gather community input, and assess the potential impacts of schedule changes across our four schools. Updates on the group’s membership, process, and progress will be shared here as the work moves forward.
