School Committee Questions & Concerns: A Step-by-Step Guide

The Bedford Public Schools is a large and dynamic organization, and we are committed to responding to questions and concerns in a timely and effective manner. To help ensure your inquiry is directed to the appropriate person and resolved efficiently, we recommend following the steps outlined below:

For Questions or Concerns About:
  • Students or Teachers: Please contact the teacher first. If further assistance is needed, reach out to the school principal.
  • School Personnel: Begin by contacting the individual directly. If the issue is not resolved, escalate to the school principal, and then to the appropriate district administrator. Note: Formal complaints regarding personnel should be submitted in writing.
  • School Policies or Procedures: Start with the school principal. If needed, follow up with the relevant district-level administrator.

If your concern cannot be resolved at the school level, you may contact the Superintendent, who will either address the matter directly or delegate it to an appropriate staff member. For issues that remain unresolved after following the steps above, you may bring the matter to the School Committee for further consideration.
