Weather Related Concern - Sidewalks - December 17, 2020

A message from the Bedford Public School District

Thursday, December 17, 2020

Good evening, this is Superintendent Philip Conrad with an important message for all families of students who walk to school in Bedford. Due to the nearly 15” of snow that has fallen in Bedford, the Department of Public Works has been working since late last evening, and through tonight, to clear all main roads, and side roads throughout the town. Unfortunately, the DPW has not yet been able to clear all of the main sidewalks, but will be working throughout the weekend to continue snow removal efforts. I urge students to use extreme care tomorrow as they walk to school and as they wait for the school bus.  If it is possible for students to be driven to school, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance with this concern.  I am assured that all sidewalks will be cleared for school on Monday.  I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We look forward to seeing you at school tomorrow Friday, December 18, 2020.

Sincerely

Phil Conrad, Superintendent
