Dear Bedford School Committee Members, District and Instructional Leadership Teams, Bedford Education Association Leadership, Parent Association Leadership, and Interim Town Manager:
Greetings!
The next few months present an opportunity for a smooth transition between Bedford school superintendents. Current Superintendent Philip Conrad and incoming Superintendent Cliff Chuang met on May 10 and May 19 to begin working on this plan and to establish some early areas of focus for a thoughtful transition. We have and will continue to collaborate on this living, shared transition planning document to outline priorities, action steps and a timeline. It sets the stage for a formal entry plan that Cliff will develop in July.
The goal of this plan is to have Bedford Public Schools community members feeling confident and assured that a thoughtful transition is underway, while also minimizing concerns that may naturally arise in any transition process. As noted in the plan, Cliff will connect informally with various members of the Bedford Public Schools community in the coming weeks. More formal stakeholder engagement activities will follow in the summer and fall as part of Cliff’s entry plan.
