Please see the message below from Bedford School Committee chairperson, JoAnn Santiago.

Dear Families, Faculty and Staff,

This week the search for a new Superintendent continued despite the closure of the Bedford Public Schools.  In this time of uncertainty, it is essential to ensure continuity of leadership in our District.

The key search activities completed this week include a visit to Bedford by finalist Philip Conrad and School Committee interviews with all finalists.

Below is a link to a conversation with Philip Conrad, in which he responds to questions you submitted last week.

Faculty, staff, students, families and community members are invited to provide feedback on the superintendent finalists using the Survey Monkey link below.  The survey is the same for each candidate.  Please complete the form for one candidate at a time, submitting that evaluation before evaluating another candidate.  Please complete the feedback survey by noon on Tuesday, March 24th.

Submit your feedback:   https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KF3CG6V

The School Committee will meet on Thursday, March 26 at 7:30 pm to consider the finalists and select our next Superintendent of Schools.  In accordance with state and town directives, this meeting will be made public by streaming on Bedford TV at https://bedford.tv/ , and public comment will be possible via a conference call at the start of the meeting.  For those who anticipate making a public comment, the access information follows this message.

Links for all conversations and interviews with the three finalists are at the end of this message.  On Friday afternoon Dr. Frank Hackett of Braintree Public Schools withdrew from consideration for this position.

If you have any questions or comments about this process, please contact me at joann.m.santiago@gmail.com.

Wishing you good health.

Regards,

JoAnn Santiago - Chair, Bedford School Committee
