MASS IDEAS Anti-Racism 30-hr Credit Course Requirement

Required for all BPS Staff under the Teachers Contract
MASS IDEAS Anti-Racism 30-hour Credit Course

As per the current BPS Teacher's contract under Article 37 - Professional Improvement, 37-01, point 8: "All teachers who begin employment on or after July 1, 2002 shall be required to complete the EMI course or a comparable anti-racism course approved the Superintendent within the first three (3) years, at no cost to the teacher. The teacher, upon completion of the EMI course, will be awarded two (2) in-service credits."

To process to register for an IDEAS course is as follows:
1. Go to the Bedford Public Schools Website (https://www.bedfordps.org/) and complete the Professional Development Request form.
2. Complete the IDEAS registration form and return to Erin Crowley (erin_crowley@bedfordps.org),
Once both the Professional Development Request form and the IDEAS Registration form are completed, Erin will register you for the course.
 
**If you have previously completed an IDEAS Anti-Racism 25-hour credit course, you will need to obtain a copy of the certificate of completion and submit to Erin Crowley (erin_crowley@bedfordps.org).
