First grade friends write about skintones.

In one first grade classroom a group of friends came together during Daily 5 to create a writing piece. This story, called, 'Skintones' includes a drawings of each students' arm and the color of her skin. Through their work we can see how the children have developed an understanding and appreciation for some of the differences they notice among friends.
